Maggie, Paisley, & a little Quin.

Really, has it been a week since I last wrote? Mmmmm, I'm slacking. Maggie's been super sick -- pnemonia, rsv crap. Pretty scary, the breathing thing always is the thing that scares me the most (could be that Hyrum tried to die on us so many times when he was a little guy). She's doing a little better, even slept 4 hours straight on Sun. night (oh happy day!!!!). This picture of her cracks me up because she is ALWAYS smiling, but I put her in the little bumbo seat by herself and she looked slightly offended :) She is so much fun!!

We've got to spend a bunch of time with Miss Paisley Rae Summers the last few weeks -- the boys adore her and its fun to see how much she loves them! She is smitten with Maggie, she wants to be right by her, it's so fun to have cousins finally!! Ben & Rach find out what color they're having next week and I'm so excited for a new little one again ~ Here's Paiz in a hat that we found her last weekend when Em, Sara, & I went shopping. She's is such a little diva!

I have to give a shoutout to my ever impressive hubby. Quin is SOOOO busy at work the last little while (79 hours last week alone). He leaves early and gets home late, but it's so great to have a job right now that I can't complain. He is always willing to work and work, he really loves it. He'd rather be farming and working cows (we all would -- we've missed calving this year AWFUL) but he gives 110% where ever he's at -- what a great guy! Can't wait to see him next Sunday :)

The latest

Last week rocked at our house. It was beautiful outside and we played with friends almost everyday! Then on Sat. Quin got home about noon and I had a good couple hours worth of manual labor that I got out of all my boys :) Then he had to play with them. They love playing with their daddy -- there is nothing sweeter than watching a dad play with his boys. Quin is also so in love with Maggie that it's almost ridiculous. She's been sick the last couple of weeks ... her cough just keeps getting worse and everyday he tells me that I need to take her back to the doctor, that they have to do something to fix her (that's the mechanic in him...just fix it). His "Maggie voice" cracks me up! Our Pretty Paisley girl turned 1 on Sunday -- how'd that happen so fast? I guess Miss Maggie is 3 months already ... fun stuff! After a GORGEOUS weekend we woke up yesterday morning to a white lawn ... Coop checks the tulips everyday to see how they are growing (we grow John Deere & Case ones you know) and his lawn was covered, he was out in his mud boots shoveling off the skiff with his snow shovel. He got done just about the time the rest started to melt off. Oh well, he had a good workout anyway.

Here is Maggie Marie at 3 months ... she's sweet as can be even though she's sick. Whenever I cover her little face with the facemask during her breathing treatments she just smiles and coos :) We are so lucky to have her!

Some Random Cuteness

Welcome again to another installment of "As the World Turns with the Tuckett's".
Here is a picture of Miss Maggie from last week ~ Wyatt put her cowboy hat on, we've had heck trying to keep it off of her head (poor lamb) I finally had to hide it from him. Here's hoping he doesn't see this picture and remember that I took it away.

This other picture is of some handy dandy aprons that I made (no pattern mind you) when Paisley come over last week -- no worries she got her own apron with a lovely floral motif. The boys were really impressed with the John Deere appliques, at least I thought they were until Wyatt asked me where his cowboy one was. D'oh, how'd I forget he's a cowboy not a farmer!

Funny story now (Just for Jason). Last week we were singing primary songs while I was playing the piano. We started to sing "We'll bring the world his truth" when Cooper said "I could really be in Helaman's Army. I already have all the camo." True that Bubba. Next time you see him wearing his camo -- ask him how Helaman's Army is doing.

And you thought you'd gotten rid of me!

Not so my friends, not so.

So the Tuckett household officially has joined the ranks of those lucky enough to have the internet in their home. Oh happy day! There has been so many fun (and funny) things going on lately, I'm not even sure where to begin.

Miss Maggie turned 3 months old on Sun. HOW THE HECK DID THAT HAPPEN SO FAST? I was pregnant and sick for like 3 years with her and now she's shooting up like a weed. She's long and skinny with the prettiest hands. She is really the sweetest baby! She sleeps through everything her big brothers can dish out and always wakes up smiling when her daddy gets home. Talk about smitten, I keep on teasing Quin about his "Maggie voice", but it really is sweet. Wyatt is working hard in kindergarten, Cooper is getting ready to go to school next year, and Hyrum wants to play t-ball with the brothers this year. Poor guy, wants to be big already. We just signed up both of the bigger boys up for t-ball and soccer, I think I'm in for a long decade (or so) of team sports from now on. We better get Maggie a cute cheerleader outfit -- she's going to watching a lot of games in her life. The tulips and irises have started to break through the dirt and the snow is melting off my lawn (SLOWLY -- LOT OF MUD) I'm so excited to get outside and plant flowers and a garden! Quin's job is so great! He's doing so good at it, and he loves it (huge bonus!)

Now for an entertaining tidbit from our own Cooper James.

Last weekend we were coming home from Mud Lake after visiting Quin's mom. When we were coming up out of the valley we hit a jack rabbit (huge surprise) The boys about gave Quin a standing ovation. Then a little bit later Coop starts crying. I was so suprised that he was so sensitive about it. This is the child that wants to raise a 4H pig like Wyatt so that he can butcher it and eat it (Wyatt wants to for the money). So the next morning when the dad was at work I asked Cooper why he cried (I thought, I finally have a sensitive son). He then proceeds to tell me that he cried because he was scared that the jack rabbits antlers where going to pop our tire on the way home. WHAT? "Why do you think that they have antlers" - "I saw a picture of them in the Indian store when I went with dad" - again WHAT? It took a little bit of talking until I realized he saw a picture of a jackalope at the Fort Hall Reservation truck stop with Quin when we were still hauling hay to Jerome (over a year ago). Little monkey remembered that, and is still convinced that jack rabbits all have antlers. What a nerd!

Watch out for those crazy roamin' jackalopes! :) love, Annie & the family
